Recording true singles counts

Singles spectra may be required, for example, for angular distributions or decay counting, but need to have the annihilation and activity contributions subtracted. In TaLL, all singles data were recorded event-by-event, but with a large array this can be impractical. An alternative, using a pulsed beam, is to create hardware histograms of all the energy spectra for different time slices relative to the beam pulses. This approach has been adopted for the Exogam electronics.
